Greetings everyone! I hope folks are starting to get in the
Valentine’s Day mood.
My name is Landra Graf (I’ll bore you with the details down
below). I wanted to talk to you today about a multi-author series I’m part of
called Cupid’s Café – we’ve got our own Facebook group, a website, and
opportunities for more authors to join up.
What’s Cupid’s Café?
I’m so glad you asked.
Nestled in Louisville, KY's bustling Highlands district, a
small cafe provides more than a delicious cup of coffee. Owned by the
mysterious Mr. Heart, Cupid's Cafe offers people at the ends of their ropes one
last chance at finding the love of a lifetime.
Cupid doesn't just strike alpha billionaires and the badass
women who love them. Mr. Heart sees the growing need for less-than-perfect
people—those with depression, bipolar disorder, or OCD; recovering addicts, and
the ones who feel less than worthy—to find their soulmates.
And every couple has met before. They just didn't realize
it.
Come take a risk and find a second chance at love via
Cupid's Cafe.
Does that mean these are sad stories?
Nope, it means they are happy ones. We want ‘Happily Ever
Afters’ for everyone, even the not-so-perfect.
What genre are these stories?
Contemporary romance, for the time being. We have a lot of
folks interested in the café itself and reveals are in the works, since a lot
of the wait staff are not exactly what a person would term as “human.”
Do I have to read all of these to be able to enjoy the newest release?
Nope, that’s the fantastic part. All the books are
completely standalone. All the authors
working on this series are aware that some of the subjects and diagnoses our
characters suffer may be a little difficult to read. We’re open to the idea
that reading about a heroine with depression may hit too close to home, but a
heroine with anxiety disorder might not. Our goal is to merely provide
representation for characters who often don’t get the screen time in romance
novels that they richly deserve.
I want to know more…
Check out our website,
join the Facebook
group, and let us know what you’d like to see. All three authors who
released a Cupid’s Café story last year plan to write more in 2018. We are
eager to hear what readers are looking for.
You could also join us for Mr. Hearts Valentine’s Bash
coming to Facebook on Monday February 10th from 3pm-9pm EST. Here’s

Oh, wait. You wanted to know more about my book:
Painting for Keeps
An invitation to Cupid’s Café will change your life.
Agatha, Aggie, Kakos lost her boyfriend, her apartment, and
now, is one brownie bite away from purging her binge when an invitation to
Cupid’s Café shows up on her doorstep. Fighting bulimia and her
mother’s constant verbal abuse has never been easy, but this
nutritionist is determined to be stronger than her weakest
link. She’ll meet a secret admirer at Cupid’s for a morale
booster, if nothing else.
Following a break-in and the destruction of his paintings,
starving artist Murphy O’Shea finds himself at wit’s end. Not
only does he need to create twelve more paintings, but in the midst of
another manic depressive episode, the challenge seems
impossible. He’s got two months or he’ll have to cancel his first show.
The Cupid’s Café invite offers him a chance to find his muse.
He doesn’t expect it to be the woman he’s mirrored the past two years’
paintings on, nor does he plan on being able to offer Aggie the help
she needs.
Can they find a way to conquer their inner demons or will
they succumb to the idea they aren’t worth a happily ever after?
Who am I?
Landra Graf consumes at least one book a day, and has always
been a sucker for stories where true love conquers all. She believes in the
power of the written word, and the joy such words can bring. In between
spending time with her family and having book adventures, she writes romance
with the goal of giving everyone, fictional or not, their own happily ever
after
What am I giving away?
A shot at Painting for Keeps print book and Cupid’s Café swag
pack – contains coffee mug, sweet treats, and a Cupid’s Café Necklace.
This sounds like a great concept. I will definitely be looking into Cupid's Cafe. Thanks, Landra.
ReplyDeleteI get up in the highlands. I went Highland middle school, and Atherton High school. I'm super excited about romance in my hometown.
